Chocolate peanut butter and banana smoothie

Ingredients
  • 1/2 c milk (almond, coconut, etc.)

  • 1 tbsp peanut butter

  • 1 scoop chocolate protein powder

  • 1/2 of a banana

  • 1/2 c frozen blueberries

  • 1 c spinach

Instructions

Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until desired consistency is met.

    • Vitamix: wonderful, but super expensive, so if you have the budget it's well worth it.

  2. Pre-portion and freeze your smoothie ingredients ahead of time. This will make your smoothie making process much quicker because all you have to do is throw them in your blender and mix.

  3. Build a balanced smoothie by choosing a protein, fruit/veggie and healthy fat. Not only do all these ingredients make for a delicious combination, but they also help to keep you full for longer.

  4. Practice makes perfect. Play around with different combinations and serving amounts in your smoothie (the recipe is just a guideline), you might like more blueberries or less fluid, it's up to you!

  5. Top it off. Add on additional nutrient-dense ingredients like chia seeds, flaxseeds, or protein powder.
